It's a good day, sunshine and 60 degrees!

Wow, the snow is melting and it's a sunny day in my not-so snowglobe-ish world! Can this mean spring is finally coming to the land that time forgot? Please??
Rachel's been home with the flu, so I've not had much time to sew, but I have been doing some beading on a few more pin dolls.
First pic is of clay face pins...second is of one I just am finishing using artgirlz charms, and third is funky fun with artgirls charms and wool cones (one for me and one for a friend) :

And, I've joined the "Dotee Doll" swap over at Doll Street, so those are next on my list of things to do. I love Dotees, they're sew sweet...like a mini version of the comfort dolls, but just the perfect size to make a bunch to trade with! Don't know what a Dotee is? Want to see one? Do a Google image search on "Dotee" and you'll see more ideas than you ever thought possible. Need a pattern and a tute to get you started? Check this site: http://www.ehow.com/how_2263436_dotee-like-doll.html

One more pic to share for today...I needed something to carry my cell phone in...I was tired of tracking it down every time it rang! I had a piece of crazy quilted Laurel Burch fabrics left from a jacket I'd made, sew this is what I came up with:

Okay, off I go to sew, sew, sew...
Have a great day my friends,

A new purse...with a bit of doll jewelry...

I love making bags...purses, totes, any and all of the above. Back when I was working at the quilt shop, I had a bag a month class I called "Express your Purse-onality". Well, the MS toll put a nix on my working in the summer heat, so I haven't been teaching either...the economy helped a bit with that too, but then I think we all know all too well how that goes!?
Anyway, I still love to make bags and I just wanted to share the one I just finished. Fat quarter friendly -and- quick and easy to make. The pattern is called "Wallet and Grommet". I've not done the wallet to go with, yet, but it is cut out and waiting for me to get back to. Here's a pic the purse with a few of the pin dolls I've been making added on for just a touch of whimsy (body parts charms are from 'artgirlz'...I LOVE their stuff!)

I did change out the bag pattern a bit...seams I can't do anyone's pattern without changing something :O) I added pockets to the outside that were just supposed to be part of the design element. And pockets on the inside for the organizer in me. Off to sew some more...have a sew crafty day dear friends!

Hugs,

Update on my Muze.

Okay...I think she's done...except for her base, which I can't decide on a color(s) for. Is she too much? Do I need to edit out something? Add something?
Should her hair stay or go? Her broach was supposed to go on her headpiece, but I made it too big...does the hat need something? I feel like she needs a little somethin-somethin...but I'm not sure if she really does, or if I just need to step back and let her be for a bit.
Help! Honest comments welcome...please and thank you :O)
